30% Solar Import Tariff Projected to Decrease US Installations by 11%

GTM Research issued a forecast that finds the U.S. solar market will see a net reduction in installations of around 11 percent as a result of the new tariffs. That translates to a cumulative 61.3 gigawatts of solar deployed over the next five years, for a 7.6-gigawatt reduction in installed solar PV capacity between 2018 and 2022. Read the report here.

Congratulations to GroundWork Client First Solar on PPA with Arizona Public Service

Arizona Public Service announces the addition of a 65MW solar plant and 50MW battery system to produce and store solar energy for use during peak evening hours. Developed by First Solar, the solar plant and battery system beat out other bids including conventional renewables, standalone batteries and natural-gas peaking plants.
