About Ivan Cano
Ivan joined GroundWork in 2024 with several years of construction and renewable experience. With a degree in mechanical and nuclear engineering from Virginia Commonwealth University, Ivan brings a solid foundation of technical expertise to his role. As a Project Manager, Ivan collaborates with stakeholders and the Groundwork team to ensure smooth completion of projects for utility-scale solar sites across the United States. From overseeing multimillion-dollar construction projects for the Department of Defense to driving renewable energy initiatives via research and development, Ivan has a keen ability to navigate complex challenges and deliver successful outcomes.
Outside of work, Ivan enjoys cooking up new recipes, exploring nature through hiking adventures, and immersing himself in the world of music. Currently pursuing a master’s degree in project management at the University of Southern California, Ivan is poised to continue making impactful contributions in the field of project management and beyond.
