Lawrence Pratt

Lawrence Pratt is an experienced solar professional with twenty-five years of data science, engineering, testing, and management experience in semiconductors and photovoltaics (PV). He has nineteen years of experience related to solar PV since joining Advent Solar in 2006, including roles in the public and private sectors in the USA and South Africa. He holds an MS in Applied Mathematics from the University of New Mexico and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa. He joined GroundWork Renewables in 2025 to help develop methods for improved PV plant performance monitoring and optimization.

He enjoys immersive travel experiences, wilderness walks, cooking, and volleyball.
