About Travis Morrison
Travis is passionate about earth sciences and contributing to building a sustainable future for the planet. His experience comes from an academic background in field data collection and numerical modeling to study planetary processes, data analytics, and rapid prototyping of software and hardware solutions. He enjoys working with diverse teams to bring new science to industry and believes innovation and scientific communication is an important key to the clean energy transition. Prior to joining the GroundWork, Travis received his PhD from the University of Utah in Mechanical Engineering and continued to work with the University in a teaching and research capacity, while working on commercializing cutting edge weather instrumentation and managing his own custom instrument and data consulting business to bring new technologies to local non-for-profits.
Travis resides in Salt Lake City where he loves to run with his dog and meticulously skis and fishes the nooks and crannies of the surrounding mountain ranges with his best friends.
